Nahanni is an interdisciplinary designer and artist from a family of treeplanters, sailors, musicians and makers.

Inspired by family history, she curated a book of her father’s photography: Nahanni Reforestation, shot in the 1970's and 80's while running a tree planting crew of the same name during her childhood.

In later childhood she was introduced to sewing, knitting and designing her own clothes by her grandmother. In her late teens and early twenties, she apprenticed in furniture design and building under her uncle Arnt learning wood and metal work.

Her clothing is a colorful mix of basic essentials, small batch and one of a kind pieces, made locally in the Columbia River Gorge.  Making clothing that is multifunctional, durable and fun is the goal, with careful attention to fit and detail.

Her studio is located on her farm, home to 4 rescued miniature donkeys, bees, Pyrenees dogs and many birds.

We try our best to be a sustainable, flexible operation. We use natural, durable, often deadstock fabrics, We make clothes as they sell, filling in sizes and keeping low stock numbers on hand.
